...my "conversation" with one of the polling place I-have-nothing-to-do-today-so-I-volunteered-for-this people....

me: "um...is number 56 supposed to be punched out?" (walking back towards the table)
her: (standing up and coming around table towards me) "oh...you do it like this"
me: "but is it supposed to be punched out?"
her: (as we both go towards voting thingy) "see? You just take it like this (as she holds cardboard in front of her)....and slide it in so the holes show thru here..." (sliding)
me: (blink) "I know how it works"
her: "there ya are, hon..." (walking back to her post)
me: ~sigh~
.....I feel so safe, now....
