....I will copy what Lewis wrote on his blog so that I do this right...I hope you don't mind, Lewis....

So this is how it works...immediately following there is a list of occupations. You must select at least 5 of these (more if you'd like). You may add more of your own if you want.

Each one begins with "If I could be..." Of the 5 you selected, you are to finish each phrase with a description of what you would do as a member of that profession.

Lewis says to "point" your answers towards 3 other people...(Britt knows how to do that)...check out Edge's, windingcrookedtrails.blogspot.com and Lewis', built-4-comfort.blogspot.com ....both interesting stuff.

...some day I will get Britt to show me how to do more of this computer stuff....

If I could be a scientist...actually, some would consider me one already. I have an Associates in Biology...I work in an environmental lab...but I'd like to go back to school and study to be an ornithologist. Studying birds and bird behavior. Song birds....water birds...what a life that would be. But, it takes a smart mind, a lot of money AND time...so in the meantime, I'll keep watching...

If I could be a musician...I'd be great on my violin...I'd love to be able to play Vivaldi's Concerto in B minor and Unger's Ashoken Farewell (remember the Civil War on PBS? His was the theme at the beginning). According to my mom, my great grandfather was a master fiddler in Mississippi...my brother is a great cornet player, so I'm hoping that with some of that family talent (and a lot of practice), I can be, at the very least, "damn good."

If I could be a gardener...I'd have beautiful flowers all over my yard...and buterflies would actually live in the butterfly house I have next to my garden. I'd have a small greenhouse where I start my garden every year (along with a couple of chameleons as permanent residents)...I'd also grow enough vegetables to have fresh food all summer long...tomatoes and green beans, a few ears of corn and maybe some carrots...and strawberries. I might even learn how to can some of my bounty...and make some strawberry jam....

If I could be a writer...I'd write some of the scariets stories, like Stephen King...some people don't like horror...I think it's great...as long as it's scary...but I also love Jack London...he could take you outdoors and send you on the coolest adventures...Ray Bradbury and Robert Heinlein...the best fantasy and sci fi ever written comes from these two men....Lewis and Norm are fantastic storytellers...Edge is very passionate...Troy is one of the few poets that I would read. Britt is wonderfully witty. I was on the school paper in high school...I even won journalism awards...I could've been a newspaper reporter...but I don't like most of the things they do. They don't entertain...they expose.

If I could be a wilderness guide...I would show people all the beautiful things in nature...and how to respect it. I think it would be better to be able to show children so that they can enjoy everything around them and develop that respect at an early age.

If I could be a barrel racer...I'd be the best. I always wanted to be in the rodeo...on my own horse...winning...it sounds silly, but when I was one of those horse lovers growing up, that's all I could think of. Owning my own horse and running it through barrels...I thought I had the chance when I finally got my own horse...but he was very badly broken...the wrong tack and too much inexperience, not to mention breaking my arm....it's true what they say...you have to get back on or you won't ever get back on again....

Ok everyone....let's hear it....
