What's with all the crap on religions? I don't care if you're Methodist or Jewish or Baptist or Muslim...as long as you don't hurt anyone you're ok with me. Now some of these groups I don't understand...(Jehovah's Witness...no clue what's up with them)...but that's one of the perks of living in America (yeah, there are some good points). I can worship in whatever way I wish and not get persecuted for it....unless....you're a dumb-ass redneck dipshit who thinks they know better, who goes to church on Sunday and after services calls the black guy down the street nigger or the Asian guy in the car next to him a chink...let's not forget the current popular opinion that all Muslims are terrible people and should be wiped off the face of the earth.

Here's an idea, gomer. Can you find a dictionary? That's ok...just sound out the word...D-I-C-T-I-O-N-A-R-Y...there ya go...now look up these words (don't worry...I'll make 'em easy to read):

I was raised a Southern Baptist (if you've ever been in a church in Mississippi you know it can get scary at times)...I'm not practicing, but I caught the gist of it all. One of the things I didn't get (thank God) was the attitude towards anyone who was of a different color than I. My family is of good old fashioned hillbilly stock...rednecks...white trash, even. I am not ashamed of this...just some of the ones who cause these names to take on a bad meaning.

What I mean is this...if you don't like the color of someone's skin, get over it. If you don't like that someone is gay, get over it (it's none of your business...but if you insist on continuously making it your business, then you can start by sharing some of your bedroom activities...if you're lucky enough to have any.) If some bad people make their own group look bad, then don't blame the group...blame the bad people. If you think the Jews killed Christ, think again...(according to the Bible), some Jews killed Him, just like some white men killed Native Americans. Stop reading your hateful bullshit into everything you see...

This war in Iraq is a bad thing. I hate it, too. I don't understand it anymore. But I'm very proud to know some people who are over there...and I appreciate what they do for us. I'm not talking about the idiots who have used their authority to embarrass prisoners...that's just more hate and it makes us as bad as the fanatics who say their religion says it's ok to kill. I'm talking about the men and women who fight for us...some have died for us. The police (of whom I've had occasion to call...and got help immediately), firefighters and paramedics right here do a lot for us, too.

So the next time you feel like being a dick, think before you speak.
